His PhD work explored the episode of revisionist history-writing in Israel of the first Arab-Israel War, 1948. The rise of the New History, its interventions in the 1990s in the Israeli Historiography and its relevance for the understanding of the Arab-Israel conflict are the key issues which he looked into. His PhD work was selected for the prestigious international Sylff Award (2009-2012) by the Tokyo Foundation, Japan.
