Prof. (Dr.) Bhuvaneswari is trained in architecture, urban planning and social sciences. She was educated at the School of Planning and Architecture in Chennai, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and the London School of Economics in the UK. She completed her doctoral degree in urban social policy at the London School of Economics, UK. Her research interests are in the areas of : transformation of urban land, urban politics, economic geography governance,gender and urban poverty.
